Apple Weather App down worldwide: Users report blank screen on devices including iPhone, Mac

The Apple Weather app appears to be experiencing a global outage. We checked our own devices and can confirm that the app is indeed down. Return Byte Tech contacted several users across the country to test the app on multiple Apple devices. We found that the weather app does not work on iPhone and several other Apple products such as Mac Studio and iPad.

In fact, Apple’s own System Status page shows that the weather service is indeed down, confirming the news.

When the Weather App is opened, the app returns a blank screen and does not display relevant weather information. We tried downloading the app using both Wi-Fi and mobile data, but the result was the same.

Several Twitter users also claim the same, but other Apple services such as the App Store, Apple TV+ and Apple Music work fine.

It’s likely that this is an isolated incident that Apple should fix soon. However, if you are currently experiencing this problem and need to check the weather in your area, you can easily do so by going to Google and searching for the term “weather”. If you have enabled location services, Google will show the current weather in your area. If not, you can write the name of the city followed by “weather”.
